On behalf of the boards of VRA and the VRA Foundation, we are pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to the VRA Foundation Board of Directors. These directors were appointed by the VRA Board for service on the Foundation Board. To enhance collaboration between the VRA and VRAF Boards, we have appointed an overlapping member (Maureen Burns) who will serve on both Boards for one year. This is common practice in the foundation world and we look forward to the benefits in communication and coordination for the good of both organizations. New directors will serve 2 year terms beginning at the annual VRAF board meeting to be held at the VRA conference in Albuquerque in April. Current VRAF directors who will complete their terms and step down from the board at that time are Kathe Albrecht, David Green, Macie Hall, and Elisa Lanzi.
Incoming VRAF directors are:
Maureen Burns, IMAGinED Consulting
Elizabeth Gushee, University of Texas at Austin
Christine Hilker, University of Arkansas
Linda Reynolds, Williams College
We welcome these talented VRA colleagues to the leadership of the VRA Foundation. At this time, we would also like to sincerely thank outgoing board members for their hard work and exemplary service to the VRA Foundation.
