Amanda Rybin, Associate Director of the Visual Resources Center at the University of Chicago Department of Art History, announced the successful development of MetaShotPpt, an embedded metadata/image importer tool for Mac computers. Rybin was awarded a VRAF Project Grant in 2013 to develop MetaShotPpt. Image and data management consultant Sarah Saunders demonstrated MetaShotPpt at the IPTC conference in Berlin and at several museums in the United Kingdom. The positive feedback she received indicates that MetaShotPpt offers great potential and will have a positive impact within the visual resources, cultural heritage, and metadata communities.
